Old Sporting, Architectural, Cabin & Pine Items 

  Carlow’s Countryside Auctions invites you to join us at the Gardiner Sportsman’s Club for our pre-spring old sporting, architectural, cabin & pine items auction. The following is a partial listing:

Sporting Items: Mounted moose head, nice mounted flying pheasant, deer racks and drops. At least 3 pr. snowshoes, fishing creel & numerous holsters of various types including military issue .45 w/ belt. Various old hunting knives, one signed Remington w/case, one signed Marbles 1914, one deer hoof knife signed Germany.  Plus at least 10 others along with old jack knives. Private collection of roughly (4000) 1980’s & 90’s baseball cards all in 9 card sheets & 3 ring binders. Wooden carved duck lamp, deer hoof lamp, at least 2 lots old ammo. Large assortment reloading items from primers, empty casings, blk. powder & numerous dies & other reloading items including scales. Old baseball gloves, wooden shaft golf club signed the winner Mashic forged steel. J. Manton & Co. 12 gauge double barrel shot gun, .30-.30 Stevens missing bolt, 6.5 rifle missing bolt, .22 model 77 Winchester rifle, 16 gauge Sears Ranger mode l105-20 shot gun & tray lot of rifle & pistol clips. Various hunting, fishing, golfing, trapping books &     numerous paddles. Old traps, oars, 2 banana boxes full of 1900 - 1920’s Youth Companions, plus box of 1940’s & 50’s Life Magazines. Also 1960’s magazines, i.e. Field & Stream, American Rifleman, Down East, Sports Illustrated, plus tray lot of 60’s catalogs, Sears etc. Old metal match holders, one signed Marbles, 6.5 hp. Scott Atwater motor (decent shape) & 2 hp. Elgin (good shape). At least 3 tackle boxes w/fishing tackle, tray lot of military gear & other items including buttons. Portable gun cases pair of spats, skeet thrower, case of skeet, bone handle carving set, fishing reels & books on black powder, #13 Onadia jump trap.

Architectural & pine items:  Pine fireplace mantel w/ pine corbels, marble fireplace mantel, wonderful 1 board 2” thick 32X43 carved house front ( ? ) , old shutters 2 pr. fireplace andirons, old hardware. Pr. small iron shelf brackets, 2 great old 4 shade hanging lights plus other wall mount & hanging lights. Tin ceiling, nice 1 door pine cupboard, pine stands, 2 tray lots old door knobs 1 glass & Bennington type other fancy brass ones. Plus other items.

Camp Items: Oil lamps, various axes & hatchets, oak hat stick, cast iron cookware fry pans, muffin pans etc. Pole lamps incl. fancy one. Other camp furniture chairs etc. Hudson Bay Hatchet, Hubbley toys.   2 military sleeping bags & a variety of items not listed. We will be picking right up to Auction day!!! Oh yes prints, including lrg. Charles Russell print.

Note: Special feature items: Small collection of  Silver Coins, 18 Liberty walking halves, 3 Silver Washington quarters & small group of 6 foreign coins & tokens. Also collection of silverplate & pewter items.    

Terms: Cash or approved check. All descriptions subject to error. 10% buyers premium.  All items sold as is unless stated by the auctioneer. 5% Maine State sales tax.

Directions:  From 95 Southbound take the Gardiner Brunswick exit onto 295 South to the first toll booth.  Immediately after going through toll booth take 1st. right exit then at end of exit ramp go left about 1 mile, the Sportsman’s Club is right across from Jr. High. Watch for big sign & take driveway before sign.  If coming Northbound on 95, take exit 103 and go left at end of ramp about 1 mile.
